I am about to tackle another 12 weeks of the BBG program, which will make this my fourth round of these workouts.
I have completed guide 1.0 (weeks 1-12) twice, and guide 2.0 (weeks 13-24) once, and I will be repeating 2.0 one more time.
The timing works perfectly – I will complete the guide exactly one week before I turn the dreaded 30. I plan to take these 12 weeks pretty seriously, I have some serious body goals for my birthday! I also will have my one year ‘Kaylaversary’ in August!
Being an accountant who has an incessant need for things to be organized at all times, I created a chart with color coded sticky tabs to help myself track my achievements as I go. Over the next 12 weeks I will not only be doing the 3 BBG resistance workouts, but 2 LISS (light impact steady state cardio), 2 HIIT (high-impact interval training), 2 lane swims, 1 barre class, 1 hot yoga class, 1 complete rest day per week, with the addition of 1 spin class every other week. As I complete workouts, I will be moving the tab to the completed column! This gives such a great visual aspect, and I know it will really keep me accountable! My OCD will make me nuts if I can’t move all the tabs each week 🙂
This may seem like a lot, but most days get doubled up with workouts, such as BBG + LISS or yoga + HIIT, so it really is 100% attainable! I’ve scheduled my workouts every week and worked things around events and plans that I know of, and have no intention of missing any! When you make things a priority, it’s easy to accomplish them. I live and die by what is in my calendar, so there’s no reason I can’t get this done!
I also plan to get 8 hours of sleep every night, drink 2.5L of water per day, and limit both sugar and alcohol! I will check my measurements every four weeks, and weigh in then too. As much as the numbers don’t necessarily matter, it’s important to keep things in check and ensure I am moving in the right direction.
I’m actually pretty excited about this plan of mine, and cannot wait to see how well it goes, and the changes that will happen!
You can always do anything you set your mind to!
